HARRISBURG, Pa. — (March 17, 2022) McNees Wallace & Nurick mergers and acquisitions attorney Meera R. Modi was appointed to the Board of Directors of Orrstown Financial Services, Inc., and Orrstown Bank.

Headquartered in Shippensburg, Pa., Orrstown bank provides a full range of consumer, business and wealth management services and serves customers from 26 banking offices and eight loan production centers in Pennsylvania and Maryland. With nearly $3 billion in assets, Orrstown Financial Services, Inc. — Orrstown Bank’s parent company — is one of the largest independent community banks headquartered in the region and publicly traded on the NASDAQ market.

“Meera is an incredibly valuable addition to our Board of Directors,” Joel Zullinger, chairman of the Board of Directors of Orrstown Bank, said. “Her experience, along with her alignment of our core mission, vision, and values, will serve as an excellent resource for both our board and management team.”

Modi is an experienced mergers and acquisitions attorney and trusted advisor to businesses and executives throughout Pennsylvania and beyond. Working from the Harrisburg office in the Corporate & Tax Law and Mergers and Acquisitions Law Groups, she has successfully led both buy-side and sell-side clients through purchase and sale transactions and other strategic ventures, helping clients navigate the ups and downs of mergers and acquisitions to get the deal done. In the Pennsylvania M&A community, Modi is widely regarded as a premier deal quarterback and closer who steeps herself in the transaction, sweats the details, executes tirelessly and closes deals.

“I am humbled and excited to join Orrstown’s Board of Directors,” Modi said. “It is evident that Orrstown has built a strong culture of caring for its employees and communities. The opportunity to join and contribute to such a dynamic team is an incredible honor, especially when Orrstown continues its expansion and growth into new markets.”

She will be honored with the YWCA Greater Harrisburg’s 2022 Tribute to Women of Excellence (TWE) Award on March 24 for being a standout attorney and individual leading clients through mergers and acquisitions transactions, mentoring junior attorneys and supporting the community. Modi participates in several organizations, including Operation Medical, Très Bonne Année, the United Way of the Capital Region and the Hindu American Religious Institute.
