Sales and Local Tax Attorney at McNees Named Chair of PBA Tax Law Section

HARRISBURG, Pa. – (May 15, 2018) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorney Paul Morcom is the new Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Tax Law Section.

Paul, a member of the McNees Sales and Local Tax Practice Group, will serve a two-year term.  The Pennsylvania Bar Association is a volunteer association and is made up of lawyers and law students in Pennsylvania.

As a member of the State and Local Tax Practice Group, Paul represents commercial and industrial entities in all areas of state and local taxation, focusing on local property taxes and real estate assessment appeals, as well as state corporate net income, capital stock/foreign franchise, sales and use, PURTA, and gross receipts taxes.  He has extensive experience before the Pennsylvania Board of Appeals, Pennsylvania Board of Finance and Revenue, county boards of assessment appeals, county courts of common pleas and the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.

He is the co-author of the recently updated “Assessment Law & Procedure in Pennsylvania,” which has for decades been a trusted reference for real estate assessment law.
