Kim practices in the Litigation; Food & Beverage; Injunction; Personal Injury; Transportation, Distribution and Logistics practice groups. She represents businesses and individuals in a wide variety of commercial and business disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolutions.
In her liquor license practice, Kim assists clients with a wide range of liquor license matters, including completing and submitting applications with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for attainment and renewal of liquor licenses, changes in offers, and the transfer of licenses. She assists clients in various permitting processes with the Federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau for manufacturers of malt and brewed beverages, wine, and distilled spirits. Further, Kim advises clients in the interpretation of the various complexities of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code, not the least of which is the general prohibition against interlocking business interests, contract brewing, and home delivery of alcoholic beverages in Pennsylvania.
In Kim’s transportation practice, she assists commercial vehicle owners and operators in defending vehicle accident litigation, including complex multi-vehicle accidents, serious injury, and death. She also advises clients regarding freight claims and other transportation issues, including transportation agreements and defense of Vehicle Code violations. She is knowledgeable on issues of electronic evidence and document retention specific to the transportation industry, and has lectured on this subject to industry groups.
In her Personal Injury practice, Kim focuses on helping individuals and families who have suffered personal tragedies and resulting injuries due to the negligence of others. Her background as a trial attorney and counselor have made her optimally positioned to help people who are experiencing the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Kim helps guide her clients through their emotional and physical recoveries and assists them through the litigation process, with the singular goal of getting her clients the recovery they need in order for them to get back on their feet. She represents individuals and families throughout Pennsylvania, in both federal and state courts, and through mediations and arbitrations.
