Kate Pettegrew

Director of Information Center


Kate has served as the Director of Information Services at McNees since 2011. She supervises a team of professional analysts who provide a range of services including library operations, legal and business research, competitive intelligence, new business intake, conflicts of interest, and due diligence research. Kate works closely with firm General Counsel, attorneys, and other administrative departments on risk mitigation, business development, and knowledge management projects.

Kate brings to her work a strong background in academic research and information science. In addition to an M.S. in Library and Information Science, her degrees in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures introduced her to the love of research and the skill to find information quickly. Kate has spoken and published on topics such as risk management and competitive intelligence and stays active in her field through involvement in ILTA and AALL. She is a past director of the Philadelphia Chapter of SLA.
