James is Chair of the Personal Injury Practice Group and also practices in the Litigation and Transportation, Distribution & Logistics Groups. In his distinctive practice, James represents commercial and business clients in a wide variety of disputes, and also represents individuals who have suffered significant personal injuries.  Because James has substantial experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants and both businesses and individuals, he possesses a unique ability to assess a case from all angles and to anticipate the possible challenges and arguments by opposing parties.

For his corporate and business clients, James focuses on representing them regarding contract challenges, premises liability issues, and risk management strategies. He also advises corporate clients in first-party insurance coverage disputes.  James frequently counsels businesses regarding compliance with state and federal wiretapping and electronic surveillance statutes.

In his Transportation, Distribution and Logistics practice, James represents and counsels clients in general transportation matters, including responding to accident scenes and counseling drivers following transportation accidents; accident litigation; defending against citations and/or sanctions imposed by the Pennsylvania State Police, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration; providing advice and representation in driver license and motor vehicle matters; and providing day-to-day advice to transportation companies regarding corporate liability, insurance coverage, and asset protection issues.

In his Personal Injury practice, James focuses on helping individuals and families who have suffered personal tragedies and resulting injuries due to the negligence of others.  His background as a trial attorney and counselor have made him optimally positioned to help people who are experiencing the most vulnerable moments of their lives. James helps guide his clients through their emotional and physical recoveries and assists them through the litigation process, with the singular goal of getting his clients the recovery they need in order for them to get back on their feet. He represents individuals and families throughout Pennsylvania, in both federal and state courts, and through mediations and arbitrations.  James strongly believes in a collaborative and team-oriented approach with his clients, and thus he actively involves his clients in every step of the recovery and litigation processes.

James resides in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania with his wife and two children.
