Ian R. Brinkman is a corporate attorney advising clients on complex corporate and nonprofit transactions, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. He also provides general corporate counsel to businesses of all sizes and industries. His practice includes M&A deals for businesses across Pennsylvania, with experience in contract drafting, negotiations, and leveraged buyouts, representing both sellers and buyers.

Ian also represents nonprofit organizations in transactions, including acquisitions, restructurings, and asset transfers. He advises nonprofits on obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status and offers guidance on governance, compliance, and succession planning.

Before joining McNees, Brinkman practiced at a Lancaster-based firm, advising clients on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters. Earlier in his career, he worked in the nonprofit sector, managing grant writing and program leadership for organizations in the Harrisburg area.

Ian is active in the legal community, serving on the Board of the Lancaster Law Foundation as chair of the Governance Committee. He is a member of the Lancaster, Dauphin County, and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, has previously chaired the Lancaster Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, and volunteers with Fiorenza’s Food For Friends.
