Andrew is a materials patent attorney and member of the Harrisburg, PA office of McNees Wallace and Nurick LLC. He practices in the Intellectual Property Law Group and Patent Division. As an attorney, his practice includes intellectual property and technology law with a focus on the preparation and prosecution of applications in the chemicals and materials areas. His experience includes patent applications related to engineered materials, gas turbine systems, coating technologies, cosmetics and specialty chemicals.

He worked for nearly 6 years as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, attaining the position of Primary Examiner. While at the Office, Andrew examined chemical patent applications, including applications relating to metallurgy and coatings, including superalloy compositions, high temperature coatings and conversion coating technologies.

Prior to his time at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Andrew worked as a chemist and a chemical engineer. These varied experiences included work in an analytical wet lab, development/manufacturing of fuel cell catalysts on carbon and alumina, petrochemical refining operations, including wastewater treatment, and development/manufacturing of hydrated silica for use in dentifrice applications.
