Amara Riley is a trial attorney who draws on more than 15 years of government and public sector experience to deliver clear and strategic advice designed to help businesses, professionals, and institutions navigate complex commercial, civil, and regulatory disputes. She brings with her significant trial and courtroom experience, having handled hundreds of matters at both the trial and appellate levels.

Before entering private practice, Amara served as an attorney advisor with the U.S. Department of Justice, where she authored appellate decisions for the Board of Immigration Appeals, the nation’s highest administrative body for interpreting and applying immigration laws. She previously served as a deputy judicial clerk for Justice P. Kevin Brobson of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, where she played a central role in high-level judicial decision-making and drafted a range of legal decisions and memoranda. Amara also served as an assistant district attorney in Lancaster County, managing a demanding trial and appellate docket while partnering with law enforcement to guide investigations and mitigate legal risk.

Earlier in her career, she was a managing attorney at the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center. There, she led legal operations, oversaw compliance and stakeholder engagement, and expanded access to counsel in complex detention matters. In these roles, she gained substantial trial experience and also developed her skills in legal strategy, advocacy, and regulatory analysis. Her work included handling matters from inception through trial and appeal, providing strategic advice and guidance at each step of the legal process.

Her background spans a wide range of litigation matters, including business and contract disputes, regulatory compliance issues, and appeals. Today, she draws on this experience to help clients manage risk and achieve their desired outcomes and objectives, whether that be through trial or dispute resolution.
