PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. (Aug. 17, 2026) — McNees Wallace & Nurick today announced the addition of education attorney Macy T. Laster to the firm’s new and growing Plymouth Meeting office.

An experienced education litigator, Laster joins McNees’ Education and Litigation groups. She represents school and educational entities, with a particular focus on special education, student discipline and pupil services.

Her practice includes working directly with school administrators on complex and sensitive student-related legal issues. She has served as lead special education and pupil services counsel, guiding clients through day-to-day compliance questions, due process proceedings, investigations, litigation and appeals.

“Macy brings a strong combination of education law experience, practical judgment and litigation skills,” said Kimberly Colonna, who practices in the firm’s Education Group. “She understands the legal requirements schools face and the pragmatic considerations administrators have to weigh when making difficult decisions.”

Laster spent nearly a decade working at several Philadelphia-area law firms before joining McNees. She joins a growing Plymouth Meeting office, which opened earlier this year with a team of 24 education attorneys and professionals joining the firm.

“What attracted me to McNees was the people and the opportunity to be part of a team I really respect,” Laster said. “I’ve built my career around education law and working closely with school districts on complicated matters. I’m excited to bring that experience to McNees.”

Laster earned her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law, where she received a certificate of advanced study in disability law and policy. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education and public policy from Pennsylvania State University.
