Kathleen Duffy Bruder Joins McNees Wallace & Nurick

HARRISBURG, PA. (January 28, 2015)  –  McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC is pleased to welcome attorney Kathleen Duffy Bruder to the firm’s Government Relations and Labor & Employment Practices.  For the past four years, Kathleen has served the Commonwealth as Governor Tom Corbett’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration.

In this role, Kathleen has been a trusted advisor to the Governor and his liaison to the Pennsylvania Departments of Transportation, Community and Economic Development, Labor & Industry, Revenue, Administration and General Services.  Her primary areas of responsibility have been economic development, transportation and infrastructure, municipal and community-related matters, labor, pensions, revenue, board governance and personnel.

Kathleen has also represented Governor Corbett on numerous state and regional boards and commissions, including the Pennsylvania-New Jersey bi-state transportation authorities.

With his congratulations, Governor Corbett said, “I want to thank Kathy for her commitment and tireless dedication to my administration and the people of Pennsylvania. Her wise counsel has been invaluable to me over the past four years.”

Before joining the Corbett administration, Kathleen was a litigator in private practice handling labor and employment matters throughout the United States in both state and federal courts.  She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.

A Bronx, New York native, Kathleen earned her law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in Ohio and her undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton in northeastern Pennsylvania.
