Litigation Paralegal

Position Type: Professional Staff

McNees Wallace & Nurick is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our growing legal team.  The successful candidate will support all aspects of our litigation practice and will be resident in our Harrisburg, PA office.

General Responsibilities:

  • Draft routine legal documents
  • File pleadings electronically across all state courts and federal courts
  • Perform internet research as requested
  • Manage discovery requests and productions
  • Assist in trial preparation, including exhibit handling and electronic presentations
  • Collect, organize, analyze and summarize documents
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys and staff to ensure outstanding client service

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with the discovery process and e-discovery protocols
  • Ability to effectively set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage projects for multiple attorneys
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptionally well organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of firm personnel, clients, and opposing counsel
  • Forward thinking problem solver
  • Positive attitude, dependability, good judgment, and initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs
  • Paralegal certificate, a degree from an ABA-approved program, or a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience; law firm experience a plus!
