IT Generalist (Southwestern PA Region)

McNees Wallace & Nurick is seeking an experienced IT Generalist to join our expanding IT Department.  Under the general supervision of the Chief Technology Officer, the IT Generalist is responsible for providing general and routine technical support related to computer systems, hardware and software.  While the position is largely remote, candidate should be located in the Southwestern PA region and able access our Pittsburgh Office several times each month.  General work day is 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

  • Workstation Standards, Images and Deployments
  • Desktop Application Installation and Management
  • Mobile Device Configuration
  • Printer and Copier Management
  • Anti-Virus and Patch Management
  • Telephone System Administration
  • User On-Boarding / Off-Boarding
  • AV / Video Conferencing System Administration
  • Building Security System Administration
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Maintain Sensitive and Confidential Information
  • Effective Communication


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, certification, and work experience
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a related role requiring confidentiality, customer service, troubleshooting, analysis, problem solving, and working independently to successfully support and manage Windows based desktop systems.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP network.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage appropriate technical tools to perform day-to-day administration tasks, root-cause analysis and service restoration.
  • Familiarity with current computer technology and applications (e.g. Microsoft Office 365, Teams, PDF software).
