Executive Assistant (Harrisburg, PA)

McNees Wallace & Nurick is looking to hire an experienced Executive Assistant to support executive and leadership functions at the Firm. This position will report to McNees’ Chief Practice Officer and will be based in our Harrisburg office with hybrid flexibility.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality, be results-driven, possess strong technology skills, have the ability to exercise good judgment and maintain a multitude of assignments independently with a high level of professionalism. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in executive support and an interest in the legal field.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain calendars, schedule appointments and meetings as needed
  • Prepare and organize travel arrangements, track and process expense reimbursements
  • Draft and prepare internal and external communications, emails, presentations, agendas, and reports
  • Organize team communications and events, both internal and offsite
  • Provide support in building relationships crucial to the success of the organization, manage a variety of special projects, some of which may have organizational impact
  • Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters proactively, and follow up on projects to ensure successful completion, often with deadline pressures
  • Support talent acquisition and onboarding with scheduling interviews and meetings

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in an office environment with significant administrative support experience for executives and professionals; legal experience a plus
  • Interest in working in the legal field
  • Self-motived, proactive and detail-oriented
  • Exceptional organization, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in prioritizing, re-prioritizing and attending to multiple assignments at once
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook required, as well as document management and other office technologies
  • Proven experience in maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Positive attitude, commitment to client service and diversity, equity, and inclusion
