Billing Manager – Pennsylvania, Ohio, or Maryland

This is an opportunity for a team leading position that reports to the Director of Billing. Law firm experience is preferrable, but not required.

Qualifications desired:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance/accounting, or related courses
  • Preference of three years of experience in a professional services organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation and the flexibility to meet the changing demands of the position
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and be proactive
  • Proven ability to manage a group of six or more employees with diverse personalities and skill sets
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and of Time & Billing software, with Legal Billing software preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervision of day-to-day production and delivery of invoices to clients
  • Ensuring compliance with established processes and escalation of issues to Director
  • Identification of opportunities to enhance and improve processes in coordination with Director’s leadership
  • Leading and supervising a team by being a role model, identifying opportunities for employee growth, and assisting the team in achieving goals
  • Driving performance excellence with effective communication, performance management, and employee recognition
