At the 2025 American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Fall Meeting, trusts and estates attorney Alison Smith presented on two panels before the Fiduciary Administration Committee and State Laws Committee.
Alongside Beth Walkenhorst of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, Alison presented “Tying It Up With a Bow: Options for Settling a Trustee’s Administration, where they discussed options for a trustee when settling its trust administration, including successor issues and strategies to reduce future claims.
With Melissa Dougherty from PNC, Alison presented Meet Me in the Middle: Statutory Settlement of Trusts, highlighting recent developments in statutory nonjudicial settlement procedures.
