Nate McCormack is a member of the Real Estate and Construction Groups, where he represents individuals and developers before municipalities in land use and permitting matters. Nate assists clients in variance, special exception, or conditional use requests, negotiating and drafting the sale of real estate, negotiating and drafting easements, and other real estate related issues.

A writer and speaker, Nate maintains thought leadership in matters affecting municipal land development, real estate title insurance, and commercial real estate law.

Nate is a team-oriented, objective-driven attorney. He strongly believes in a collaborative and practical approach to the law and excels in creative problem solving and dispute resolution.

What does Nate do for Clients?
Nate develops strategies for the purchase and sale of properties and counsels clients on the potential liabilities and obligations that arise from these transactions. He enjoys helping clients prepare and negotiate agreements of sale for real estate as well as commercial and industrial leases. Nate also creates easements, right-of-ways, and planned community documents and is a licensed Pennsylvania Title Agent.

  • Negotiating agreements of sale and leases for commercial properties
  • Litigating zoning and land use appeals and other real estate disputes
  • Representing clients before municipal bodies including townships, boroughs, and authorities in zoning and land development matters
  • Assisting clients in PennDOT permitting matters
  • Reviewing and analyzing real estate title issues
  • Issuing title insurance for real estate
  • Assisting with matters related to the acquisition of commercial property

Additionally, Nate has experience counseling clients concerning cryptocurrency and equine law.

Prior to joining McNees, Nate worked at an area firm where he practiced real estate, business, and municipal law. He also has experience in the Pennsylvania Department of General Services’ Office of Chief Counsel drafting contracts and assisting in the defense of first amendment challenges. From 2009 to 2015, Nate served in the Army National Guard.

How does Nate spend his free time?
Nate enjoys many hobbies with his wife, Jessica, including horse riding and hiking. He is also passionate about history, particularly medieval Europe.
