HARRISBURG, Pa. – (July 22, 2020) McNees Wallace & Nurick LLC attorneys Timothy M. Finnerty and Nicole Stezar Kaylor, Corporate and Tax co-chairs will present on the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act of 2020 on July 28th at 12 pm. One substantive CLE credit has been approved.

The newly enacted Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act of 2020 (PPPFA) provides borrowers with extended forgiveness periods, less stringent forgiveness requirements, and longer repayment terms. While the new Act solves many problems created by the PPP, it also creates a growing list of questions.

Tim Co-Chairs the Firm’s Corporate & Tax Group and practices in the Estate Planning and International Law Groups.

Tim focuses his practice on federal tax law, corporate law and estate planning. He acts as outside corporate legal counsel to several closely held companies. Since Tim is also a CPA, he advises his corporate clients and their owners on tax planning and other transitional issues including structuring mergers, acquisitions, tax-free/deferred exchanges, financing, entity formation, and liquidations.

Tim regularly speaks to fellow lawyers and certified public accountants on a variety of legal and tax issues including choice of entity, preparing Limited Liability Company operating agreements, shareholder agreements, partnership taxation, ethics, and tax issues associated with oil and gas leases.

Tim spent several years working for a large international tax and accounting firm. That background helped Tim view transactions from both a legal, tax and accounting perspective. Nicole Stezar Kaylor is Co-Chair of the Corporate & Tax Group where her practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions.  From family businesses to publicly traded companies, Nicole has assisted a broad range of companies to successfully achieve their business objectives in a personal, responsive, and efficient manner. Nicole counsels businesses and non-profits throughout the healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, service, and financial services industries in structuring, negotiating, and implementing a wide variety of merger and acquisition transactions and related regulatory and securities issues. In addition, Nicole regularly represents clients in corporate governance issues and capital raising efforts, including commercial lending, private placements, and private equity transactions.
