Harrisburg, PA (Oct. 26, 2015) – On Nov. 13, McNees attorney Barbara Darkes will present “Developing and Implementing Preemptive/Responsive Organizational CompliancePrograms” at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Who’s Accountable to Whom? Answering government inquiries, investigations & audits… and asking a few questions of your own program from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The event will take place on Friday, November 13 at the PBI Conference Center, 5080 Ritter Road Mechanicsburg PA 17055. You may Attend In-Person, via Live Webcast + Streaming and Simulcast. Attendees who take part in the program will receive 5.00 hours Substantive Credits1 hour Ethics Credits.

This program will examine the following key issues:

  • What to do when the government wants to hold your private and public sector clients accountable for their (alleged!) actions
  • How your clients can hold state or local government accountable for their own actions
  • Whether fundamental government reform is possible in Pennsylvania

Darkes is Co-Chair of the Litigation group and Chair of the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics group. She also practices in the firm’s Automotive Dealership Group and Alcoholic Beverage and Liquor License Group. Barb joined the firm in 2000 after serving as counsel to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for almost seven years. She litigates in federal and state courts as well as before various state administrative agencies.

Darkes received her J.D. from Widener Univesity School of Law and her undergraduate degree from West Chester University. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and before the Federal District Courts in the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania.
