Profile

Jon is the Co-Chair of the Firm’s Real Estate Group. He leads a group of professionals dedicated to providing a collaborative and creative approach to help our clients achieve their business goals. Jon’s practice is focused on land use matters, with an emphasis on distribution centers, renewable energy generation projects, multi-jurisdictional public utility projects, traditional neighborhood developments and other forms of mixed-use or higher-density residential development.

What does Jon do for Clients?
Jon works with developers to blaze a path through the municipal approvals process. He coordinates with developers and their consultants to formulate and execute a strategic approach that identifies and overcomes institutional obstacles and public opposition. He primarily represents national and regional developers.

How does Jon spend his free time?
Jon is a member of the Firm’s Professional Personnel Committee; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee and Futures Committee. He also is co-editor of the McNees Land Use Blog.

Outside of his work with the Firm, Jon is a certified instructor for the Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Education Institute. In that role, he instructs planning commission members, zoning officers, and other municipal officials on zoning matters. Additionally, Jon is a youth sports coach and is active in his church – Trinity Lutheran of Camp Hill. Jon and his family reside in Hampden Township, Cumberland County.
